Review of the guided Pulpit Rock hike from Stavanger, with route difficulty, guides, timing, transport, price, weather tips, and booking advice.

“What an incredible experience. We were picked up from our accommodation in Stavanger by our guide (the wonderful Toa) and driven up to the base of the hike to Pulpit Rock. He chatted comfortably in the way and pointed out areas of interest without being at all intrusive. On arrival he made sure we were prepared (water, waterproofs etc) and then explained the hike, including where the sections of the greatest ascent were. Throughout the hike he was careful to speak to us all and make us feel incredibly safe but excited and motivated. He was very happy for us to take lots of photos and showed us where the…”

“I highly recommend this guided hike! It was a lovely group (I joined the hike alone) and I felt absolutely comfortable and safe at all times. Our guide, Rasmus, was extremely patient and told us lots of interesting information on the way. We took an alternative path for part of the way and it was so much nicer and way less crowded. It was an incredible day!”

“Yesterday, I went on a hiking tour to Preikestolen, and it was absolutely incredible! I've dreamed of visiting the Norwegian fjords since I was a child, and my dream finally came true. Although I booked a group tour, I ended up being the only participant, which I was actually very happy about. A huge thank you to the company for not canceling my tour. I also want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my guide, Erlend Berne. We spent five amazing hours talking about all kinds of topics. He made the hike much easier, showed me the best photo spots, and even took some fantastic pictures of me. Plus, he…”

Review of the Preikestolen hike from Stavanger, with local guides, small groups, snacks, pickup, trail advice, price, and practical tips.

“Theo, our guide, did a terrific job getting us up and down the mountain. He was helpful, friendly and entertaining! The thing for everyone to understand is that the hike may not be moderate for you as some descriptions say. Like many things in life the older you are the more difficult things can be. My wife and I around 70 and the hike was not moderate for us, it was hard! Theo was patient and considerate in helping us with the journey. We exercise quite a bit and are generally healthy. While the younger folks were scampering up and down the mountain, we and the other older people in…”

“I would highly recommend the hidden trail hike, it surpassed all my expectations. A very different experience to the main trail and well worth it as long as you can manage some uphill hiking and a few bits of climbing. It was tiring but plenty of rests and incredible views made it very worthwhile. Alan was an excellent guide sharing so many interesting facts about the trail and the mountain's wildlife.”

“The experience was really awesome. The pickup was sharply on time. Hege knows everything about hiking in that area and was accommodating to all of our different needs. I was deciding between this sunrise tour and the normal daytime one and I'm happy to report that the sunrise one is the BEST decision. You arrive when noone is there yet and got time to leisurely enjoy the view and take as many photos as you want. No waiting in line. It was so peaceful and incredible. The view is absolutely stunning, as gorgeous as the photos appear or even better. The hike was pretty easy and I estimate if hiking…”

“A great trip up Preikestolen. The guide, Helga was excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. We were provided with crampons which worked really well as some parts of the trail were quite icy and full of snow. It got easier once you past the first part of the trail, so keep going! The top was very quiet and we were lucky to have a clear and beautiful sunny day. Thank you for a wonderful experience.”
